This is a love letter written in reverse, asking viruses to understand us the way we're finally learning to understand them. It doesn't argue or explain, it just sits with the strange intimacy of two life forms that need each other to exist, even when that need is violent. A student film that moves like a prayer, quiet enough that you hear your own breathing during it.

A filmmaker writes an open letter to the viruses, addressing them as a form of life in the hope that humans and viruses might learn to coexist. The film considers the bond between people and viruses from an unfamiliar angle and renders it in a poetic way. The psychological piece is a first-year graduate work from 2021, made in the animation department of the film and new media graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts.
