Digimon just said forget the plot, we're doing Mario Kart with digital monsters and you're going to watch every frame because the animation is that good. The special doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, it's pure movement and color and chaos, a racing game that exists to let the animators go insane for 30 minutes. You watch this because you want to see what happens when a show stops explaining itself and just lets the Digimon go fast.

Digimon Adventure 3D: Digimon Grand Prix! is a 3D CG Digimon movie built around racing in the style of Mario Kart. Its first screenings came in July 2000 at Sanrio Puroland and at Haromy Land, a Sanrio character theme park. It was shown again at a Toei 3D anime festival in 2009 and reached DVD in 2010, packaged with Digimon Savers 3D and two more CG titles from Toei. Expect a playful mix of action, comedy and sports.
