Tai and the others are older now, and the show knows you've been waiting twenty years to see them fight together again. The problem is that tri. spends six movies building to answers it never actually gives you, stretching moments of genuine character connection across glacial pacing until even the payoffs feel thin. If you're the person who rewatched the original series as an adult, you'll find scenes here that hit hard, but you'll also spend most of the runtime waiting for the story to justify why it exists at all.

The DigiDestined must stand together to stop the digital world from swallowing the real one. Convinced they have lost one of their friends, the Chosen Children are shaken and struggle to find a way to defeat the rampaging Ordinemon. They look to Yamato Ishida to lead them, but he is unsure what to do himself. Some of the children are without their Digimon partners, which leaves the group badly outmatched. Even so, they resolve to fight to the end to protect their future and that of their friends. The sixth film in the Digimon Adventure tri. series mixes action, adventure and drama.
