A year after Bagramon's defeat, Taiki Kudou and Yuu Amano play street basketball on the Xros Heart team with Yuu's classmate Tagiru Akashi, who wants to become its top star. Tagiru stumbles into DigiQuartz, an unstable realm between the human and digital worlds where time runs differently. There he learns that children around the world hold Xros Loaders and Digimon partners and compete in the Digimon Hunt, stopping Digimon made violent by negative emotions from the human world. Teamed with the troublemaking Gumdramon, Tagiru sets out to become the top Hunter, not knowing that Taiki and Yuu have their own history with Digimon. A secret hidden between the two worlds suggests the Hunt is more than a game. The series mixes action, adventure, comedy and science fiction.
