Mika's height is the setup; her refusal to let it define her teaching is the actual joke. The comedy lands because it's built on character moments, not gags that reset every episode. Nobody talks about this one. That needs to stop.

Suzuki Mika teaches at Okitsu High School, and she is good at her job. She is 27, but at 148 cm tall and with the face of a child, she looks younger than most of her pupils, so hardly anyone takes her seriously. Her class makes things harder still. Among its misfits are a cross-dressing pretty boy, an aspiring manga artist, and a curvy girl with a fixation on small women, Mika included. From the start of term through the sports festival and exams up to the summer break, school wears on the kids, but it wears on their teacher far more. Adapted from a four-panel manga by Momose Tamami, it is a slice-of-life comedy.
