Rat's entire arc is falling in love with a cat and then deciding that cat's only path to happiness is joining the celestial bureaucracy of the Zodiac. The show takes this absurd premise completely seriously, which means watching twelve mythological animals conduct very formal interviews with one extremely confused house cat. It's the comedy of watching someone's sincere desperation collide with cosmic indifference, played straight until it becomes something genuinely warm.

Rat, one of the members of the Zodiac, runs into an ordinary cat at a park one day. Rat grows so fond of Cat that it becomes eager to see Cat join the Zodiac as well. Together the pair set out to meet the other members of the twelve and ask whether Cat can become one of them, though whether Cat can join without trouble is far from certain. The short-format comedy runs thirteen episodes.
