Anime Like Nyan Koi!
A guy who hates cats gets cursed to understand them and has to grant a hundred cat wishes to avoid turning into one. The setup is absurd enough to work, the comedy lands because the cats are genuinely annoying and hilarious in equal measure, and every wish he grants somehow brings him closer to the girl who actually likes cats. SYNOPSIS
Junpei Kousaka hates cats. As a high school sophomore with a severe allergy, he's spent years avoiding the fuzzy menaces, which makes his crush on Kaede Mizuno, the school's resident cat enthusiast, especially inconvenient. His world implodes when a careless kick sends an empty can flying directly at a sacred cat statue. The deity isn't amused. Suddenly, Junpei can hear every cat in town, and they all want something from him. Granting one hundred cat wishes becomes his only chance to avoid a permanent feline transformation, turning his everyday life into a chaotic parade of meowing demands and ridiculous feline logic. Between managing increasingly absurd cat requests, maintaining his human dignity, and somehow getting closer to Kaede without revealing his bizarre new predicament, Junpei discovers that understanding cats means understanding something about himself. What begins as a supernatural punishment spirals into genuine connections, comedic misadventures, and the slow realization that cats might not be as insufferable as he thought.
