Keitaro's entire existence is built on chasing a promise he can barely remember, and the show finds comedy gold in how spectacularly he fails at everything except accidentally becoming the one person five brilliant women actually trust. The ecchi chaos never stops you from noticing that every girl in that dorm has her own thing going on, her own reasons for being there, her own weight to carry. By the end you realize the real promise wasn't about Tokyo University at all.

Keitaro keeps a childhood promise locked in his heart: reunite with a girl at Tokyo University. Problem is, he's flunking entrance exams spectacularly, and at 20 he has already failed twice. When a call from his grandmother, who runs an inn, gives him a reason to move out, it seems like the perfect chance to focus on studying. Except the place isn't an inn anymore. It's a girls' dormitory, and through an odd turn of fate, Keitaro somehow ends up as the manager. Now he shares the building with five young women, including Naru, who is also aiming for Tokyo University, and they give him a rough welcome. As he gets to know the residents and their quirks, he never loses sight of his goal of finding the girl from his past. It's a romantic comedy with plenty of ecchi humor and slice of life moments as very different personalities share one roof.
