You've lived through Lu's reckoning with the dragon world in Season 1; Season 2 is what happens when that world reckons back. The college doesn't save him from what's coming, it makes him complicit in it. Sawano's orchestration deepens here, moving from accompaniment to accusation, matching a season that forces every character to answer for the choices they made when they thought they still had time.

Lu Mingfei, the onetime Starcraft enthusiast who found himself enrolled at Cassell College, reaches his first summer break at the school, only to be handed an invitation to join a temporary mission. The dragons have returned and danger is building again. The king of the earth and the mountain stirs awake, and an armored Odin descends with his spear raised, looking over everyone below. Strange black shadows, heavy storms, mysterious black suitcases and fierce clashes on empty highways mark a fresh upheaval in the dragon world, and even unremarkable fathers rise to become heroes. The second season of Long Zu is a 24-episode ONA blending action, adventure, drama and fantasy.
