SYNOPSIS
An asteroid called Thanatos hangs over Earth like a countdown clock. Twenty years ago it destroyed Pluto and now threatens everything. The world's governments built Dragonaut, a massive mecha powered by a dragon, to be humanity's last weapon when the asteroid finally moves. But something else is coming first. Mysterious creatures straight out of nightmares are tearing through cities, and no conventional force can stop them. Jin Kamishina is barely holding it together. Two years back, he lost his entire family to a shuttle disaster, and he's been drifting ever since. When one of these monsters slaughters people right in front of him, everything changes. He gets pulled into the Dragonaut program, paired with Toa, the dragon that powers the mecha. Their connection is instant and dangerous, sparking something neither expected. As Jin fights to protect a world he's lost faith in, he discovers that piloting the weapon is only half the battle. The real threat might be far more complicated than anyone realized.
