Shimazu Toyohisa fights at the Battle of Sekigahara, where he fatally strikes Ii Naomasa but suffers grave wounds himself. As he staggers away from the battle, he suddenly finds himself in a hallway lined with doors, facing a bespectacled man named Murasaki seated at a desk. Murasaki sends him through one of the doors, and Toyohisa awakens in another world. There he encounters other renowned warriors who have also been pulled from their own worlds to become part of a group called the Drifters. This OVA is a specially edited version of the first two episodes of the TV series, released with the fifth volume of the manga, and it mixes action, adventure, comedy and fantasy.
