Graffiti on a museum wall breaks open two lives that were supposed to stay closed. Koichi chases a girl who stopped painting because something broke inside her, and watching him convince her that making art again is worth the risk feels like watching someone reach into a fire. Halfway through high school, Koichi Asakura hopes to study design at an art school, but his plans are thrown off by a bold piece of graffiti splashed across a museum wall. The artist turns out to be Eren Yamagishi, a left-handed girl who set her gift aside following an incident in her past. Art brings the two together: Koichi works toward a design career while Eren picks up painting again. Fear, ambition and old scars stand in the way of both. Years later, Koichi is a hardworking designer at an advertising agency whose efforts go unrecognized. After losing his place on a project, he returns to the Yokohama Museum of Art, the spot where he first met Eren. She, meanwhile, has become known in New York as a gifted left-handed graffiti artist, and her own path brings its own struggles.
