A kid writes fake diary entries to mess with his mom and watches reality bend to match every lie. When a rain of pigs actually falls and nobody bats an eye, the joke stops being on him and starts being on everyone else. The absurdity isn't forced or explained, it just happens, and the movie treats impossibility like a weather report.

Noriyasu is an ordinary third-grader until he catches his mother reading his private diary. To shock her, he starts filling its pages with absurd lies: a giant snake in the bathroom, pencils cooked for dinner, pigs pouring from the sky. Then the lies start coming true, and everyone around him treats each strange event as perfectly normal. Things get wilder when he tries his hand at running a newspaper. His made-up stories become the talk of the town, and one of them leads to a pig-filled holiday of apocalyptic proportions. The film is a surreal comedy about a boy whose words turn his everyday life upside down.
