In Jerusalem in 1273 A.D., the wandering knight Bedivere and a team from Chaldea reach the Sixth Singularity, a ruined land fought over by three rival powers. Allied with the Mountain People, they resist the Lion King and his Knights of the Round Table, who are killing innocents. After a costly fight, they ask the pharaoh Ozymandias for help. He refuses, but he tells them what the Lion King intends. Shaken by what they learn, the group resolves to strike at Camelot itself.
