Iroha Tamaki is a kind middle schooler from Takarazaki City who fights witches as a magical girl, using a crossbow and a gift for healing wounds. Like every magical girl, she made a wish in exchange for her powers, but she cannot recall what it was, and even Kyuubey seems not to know. Then a rumor spreads that magical girls can be saved in Kamihama City, a place where magical girls and Uwasa are gathering. Its witches prove far stronger than she expected, and veteran Yachiyo Nanami has to rescue her. A meeting with a tiny Kyuubey then stirs distant memories and pulls her back to search for her lost wish.
