Ritsuka asks the dumbest possible question at the worst possible moment, and somehow that's exactly what breaks the entire Fate lore wide open. The Heroic Spirits are written to sound unhinged when they have to explain themselves to someone genuinely confused about why summoning a historical figure works like that. The show gets funnier the more you actually know the source material, because the joke is always on everyone trying to keep their dignity while a guy with zero combat sense is the one holding their leash.
SYNOPSIS
