The rotoscopic grotesquerie and aggressive sound design suffocate the screen until breathing feels wrong. This isn't a horror movie that builds tension toward a jump, it's a thing designed to make you physically uncomfortable, a presence that doesn't leave once the credits roll. The low framerate animation and jarring 3D blending feel like flaws until you realize they're doing exactly what they're supposed to do: make the familiar world look diseased.

Walking home after high school, Tamahi and several classmates see someone drop from the roof of a nearby apartment building. Alarmed and bewildered, they hurry over, only to discover the place empty. Tamahi can't stop puzzling over what happened, and she begins to sense that someone or something is keeping watch on them. A feature-length film blending horror, mystery and fantasy, it builds its unease around the question of what this strange presence near her might be.
