A plane crashes, kids are stranded on an island full of giant bugs, and the movie just... lets that premise sit there without ever deciding what it wants to do with it. The English dub turns every moment of supposed tension into something accidentally hilarious, which is the only reason this thing becomes watchable. You're not here for survival horror, you're here to watch a disaster unfold in real time, where the real threat isn't the insects, it's how little the movie cares about giving you an actual story.

A school trip ends in disaster when a plane goes down, leaving Oribe Mutsumi and her classmates stranded on an island that looks empty. Mutsumi tracks down the other survivors and puts her knowledge of the wild to work helping them. She figures rescue should come in roughly three days, which seems short enough to wait out. What she did not plan for is that the island is home to enormous insects that kill. Her familiarity with creatures like butterflies and wasps may be the only thing that keeps any of her classmates alive until help arrives. The film is a horror and thriller survival story with action, mystery and ecchi elements, adapted from a mature seinen manga by Fujimi Yasutaka and Red Ice.
