Kenshiro, heir to the Hokuto Shinken fighting style, is beaten by Shin, heir to Nanto Koshuken, and is left with seven wounds across his chest. On top of that defeat, Yurie, the woman Kenshiro loves, is taken from him. A year later the world has sunk into violent chaos, and its people are waiting for a miracle. Kenshiro rises to fight for Yurie and swears to become a savior. The film is an action drama and the final part of the five-part Shin Kyuuseishu Densetsu series. As a prequel, it takes place in the gap between Kenshiro's loss to Shin and the point where the original manga begins.
