The island is a pressure cooker of three armies and one failing reactor, and the show treats every second like it might be the last. You get three episodes of pure kinetic violence, mecha tearing through each other while the metal soundtrack cranks so loud it drowns out plot. Character depth doesn't exist here. Neither does mercy. This is a super robot show that abandons all the exposition and just commits to spectacle, to bodies and machinery and the sound of something breaking every few seconds.

Machine Island is cut off from the rest of the world, a prison where three factions, the Garan Army, the Kiba Army and the Aira Army, fight for total control. The island's vast resources let each side build a nearly endless supply of giant robots. Then the world government learns that the island's power system has become unstable and will explode within 66 hours, wiping out all life on Earth. To deal with the crisis, the government sends the Death Caprice squad, two mercenaries named Ken Kaido and Ryo Magami, along with their giant robot Mazinkaiser. Whether sending them was a wise choice is another matter. This short OVA series offers science fiction mecha action and adventure.
