Misuzu Moritani is a shy girl who gets flustered whenever classmates try to talk to her. Once a day, she can halt time for three minutes and move freely while everything else stands still. The window is too short to go anywhere, so she mostly uses it to entertain herself, observe the people around her, or slip away from awkward social moments. Then she makes an embarrassing mistake involving Haruka Murakami, a popular classmate she has a crush on, and discovers something impossible: Haruka can move during the frozen moments. Mortified, Misuzu sets out to make amends, and the effort unexpectedly pulls her into a kind of relationship with Haruka. With Haruka beside her, Misuzu begins to experience more of the world she has long avoided. Adapted from a manga by Sato, the film is a supernatural school romance with a gentle slice-of-life feel.
