Sophie, a French philosopher, comes to Fukushima Prefecture for the first time to attend a friend's wedding. She soon gets lost, and a mysterious "friend" and a "map" turn up to guide her. Following them, she takes detours and makes stops along the way, and gradually comes to see that everything in Fukushima is a kind of culture, made by someone and carried forward across generations. Sunao Katabuchi directed the short film with the supporter association of Fukushima Map, the prefecture's general information magazine, to share the region's appeal with a wider audience.
