Sakura Minamoto dreams of becoming an idol until a sudden traffic accident ends her life. Ten years later she wakes up in Saga Prefecture as a zombie with no memory of her past. A man named Koutarou Tatsumi tells her he has brought her and six other zombie girls from different eras back to life. His goal is to form them into an idol group that can revive Saga's economy. The catch? Nobody can know they're undead. Koutarou takes on the role of a harsh manager and starts booking events, and the girls play along, eventually calling themselves Franchouchou. Mixing absurd comedy, music and supernatural elements, the story follows their heartwarming struggle to save Saga while hiding what they are and rediscovering the lives they once lived.
