Nakago breaks character as a bemused professional actor forced to inhabit his own villain role, watching the absurdity of production happen around him. The comedy lives in watching someone genuinely competent get increasingly exasperated by the chaos of a shoujo anime set. If you loved Nakago's dry intensity in the original series, seeing him trapped in the machinery that created him hits different.

Nakago is a newcomer to acting who lands a part in the popular series Fushigi Yuugi. The job turns out to be anything but glamorous: the favored stars, Miaka Yuuki and Tamahome, pick on him constantly, leaving him miserable and even troubled by nightmares. Through it all, he tries not to lose heart and keeps searching for a reason to carry on. These two comedy omake episodes form a short special.
