A single encounter with something you can't name becomes the entire weight of growing up. WIT Studio renders this moment in watercolor softness, every frame composed like the memory itself is trying to stay beautiful. The story doesn't explain what the creature means or what the girl learns, it just shows you a winter afternoon where something quiet and necessary happens between two beings who don't need words.

A young girl meets a mysterious creature, and that encounter shapes her growth. Fuyu no Okurimono, also known as Winter Gift, is a single-episode original ONA from 2023 that blends drama, slice of life and supernatural elements. Kazuaki Terasawa directed the short, with WIT STUDIO handling animation and studio Kafka assisting. It first screened at a special event in Tokyo in March 2023 and was later released online.
