Two girls who have already failed at their biggest dreams show up at an aquarium that's about to die, and somehow that broken place becomes the only thing either of them wants to save. The show moves slowly through ordinary days, but it knows that watching someone choose to stay and fight for something doomed is more honest than any comeback story. By the time you understand what this summer actually meant to them, you're not thinking about the aquarium closing, you're thinking about why people need broken things to fix, and what it costs when they finally have to let go.

Kukuru Misakino works at Gama Gama, an aging aquarium in Okinawa run by her grandfather. Fuuka Miyazawa, a former idol who lost her place in Tokyo, takes a spur-of-the-moment flight to Okinawa and wanders until she finds the aquarium. Drawn by something special there, she asks Kukuru for a job, though her inexperience makes her more hindrance than help at first. The facility is in trouble: visitors are scarce and needed repairs are expensive, so the director plans to close it for good when summer ends. Kukuru is determined to raise enough money to keep it open, even as she realizes the goal may be beyond her. As the pressure builds, the two girls face dreams and reality, loneliness and friendship, in a drama with a supernatural touch.
