Anime Like Gasaraki
The mecha are just window dressing. SYNOPSIS
Yushiro Gowa is trapped between two worlds: the privileged son of a shadowy Japanese family and a pilot caught in a proxy war tearing through the Middle East. Giant mechs dominate the battlefield, but they're just the visible armor in a much larger game. Behind the scenes, multiple powers manipulate events through psychological warfare, ancient rituals, and capabilities that blur the line between science and the supernatural. Yushiro discovers he possesses something far more valuable than any weapon: a mind that operates on frequencies others cannot access. As he pilots his mecha into conflict zones, he begins questioning what's real and what's been implanted in his consciousness by those around him. The war rages on, but the true battlefield exists in the human psyche. Gasaraki weaves military intrigue with psychological horror and mystical elements, creating a narrative where victory depends less on firepower and more on controlling perception itself. Reality itself becomes unreliable as Yushiro races toward answers about his purpose.
