This is a 90s action comedy that treats phantom cats like a legitimate urban threat and never blinks about it. Three episodes of women solving supernatural problems with explosions, incompetence, and a chemistry that makes you wish there were thirty more. The kidnapping arc actually lands because you spent the runtime learning to care about these specific people instead of watching archetypes run through callbacks.

Taba and the women of Kagura Total Security Inc. take on jobs where the opponents are Phantom Cats. Their work brings them into repeated clashes with assorted government agencies and with a gang of Phantom Cats, and a great deal of property gets blown up in the process. When one of their own members is kidnapped, the team sets out to bring her back. A three-episode OVA, it mixes adventure, comedy and the supernatural.
