Natsuki works the grind as a bounty hunter in a crowded metropolis where monsters and humans coexist, though uneasily. Being half-cat herself, she's uniquely positioned to navigate the tension between species, chasing down creatures who cross the line into human territory. Money is tight and cases are messy, but the work lets her enforce a balance that most people don't believe is possible. Her crew is a walking contradiction. Batanen, a werewolf with feelings he refuses to voice, watches her back with quiet devotion. Tommy tags along for the chaos. Then there's Sakura, a nine-tailed fox demon playing the long game: befriend Natsuki, eventually consume her, and finally achieve full magical power. Sakura's friendliness masks genuine hunger. Between chasing supernatural criminals, dodging Sakura's schemes, and managing the awkward dynamics of her team, Natsuki discovers that policing a mixed society means nobody stays in neat categories.
