Girl Friend BETA doesn't build toward anything. It sits with you in small moments, a girl's laugh at lunch, the quiet weight of holding hands, the way afternoon light fills a classroom, and asks nothing in return. This is a show designed to let you breathe, not to move you forward. The production polish means every frame feels intentional, even when nothing is happening. If you've ever wanted anime that feels like spending time with someone you care about instead of watching a story unfold, this is it.

Based on the mobile game Girlfriend (Kari), in which players can have girlfriends, this TV adaptation centers on Shiina Kokomi. She is a diligent yet calm high school student who serves as the lead performer in her school's rhythmic gymnastics club. As her circle of friends keeps widening, the girls lean on one another through the many challenges and everyday situations that make up life in high school, told as a gentle slice of life story.
