The Anzio battle the main series skipped over finally gets its moment, and the animation team went all-in on tank choreography that makes every shell count. This OVA exists purely to let you see what you missed, filling a gap that's bugged fans since 2012. If you already love Girls und Panzer, this isn't supplementary viewing, it's the battle you've been waiting to actually watch.

Fresh off a win against Saunders, Oorai Girls' Academy's tank team moves on to round two of the 63rd national sensha-dou tournament for high schools, where Italian-themed Anzio High School awaits. What looks like an easy match turns unpredictable when Anzio brings puzzling tactics and a secret weapon to the field. Set during the events of episode 7, the OVA shows Anzio preparing for the clash, with commander Anchovy securing hidden weaponry to guarantee a win. Miho and her crew must deal with Vice-Commander Pepperoni's reckless attacks and Vice-Commander Carpaccio's ferocity while Anchovy's surprise waits in reserve. With Oorai's future as a school riding on the outcome, the fight is a close, action-heavy sports story told on tank treads.
