Two supplementary episodes, numbered 16.5 and 20.5, rewind the clock to reveal the past of the Imperial Royal Family. Rather than continuing the main plot, these specials recount what took place ahead of the events of the television series, giving viewers of the sci-fi adventure a look at the royal line's history from an earlier point in time.
