In 2065, humanity clings to survival against the Aragami, a race of monsters that devour everything and have pushed people to the brink of extinction. Ordinary weapons cannot harm them, and only arms built from Oracle Cells, the same matter the Aragami are made of, can kill them, yet the creatures keep adapting and growing more resistant. With little hope left, the surviving governments plan to set off a nuclear reactor to destroy the monsters facing Eurasia. Three God Eaters from the Fenrir Far East Branch, which controls what remains of Japan, join the soldiers on this operation, carrying God Arcs meant to pierce Aragami hide and tear out their cores. One of them is Souma. Set six years before the video game, this short action fantasy special was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2009.
