Between 2025 and 2030, a world war wipes out half of Earth's population, and humanity loses its grip on where the fighting is headed. Combat turns into something close to a game played without people: satellite lasers, bomb drones, intelligent AI, and unmanned turrets and tanks. Alongside these machines fight the Gun Girls, young women who battle with old-fashioned firearms. Carrie is one of them, and she has lost her memories of combat. She sets out to find out who she really is and to reach her final "Awakening." The show is a science fiction action comedy with slice of life elements.
