You're watching kids build plastic robots and fight them in a virtual space, and somehow it becomes about what you're willing to risk to prove you belong. The tournament format lets the show flex different Gundam designs every episode without breaking narrative momentum. Kyoya's obsession with winning isn't a villain origin story, it's a player who forgot why he started building in the first place, and watching him remember is the real battle.

Middle schoolers Riku Mikami and Yukio Hidaka bring their classmate Momoka Yashiro into GBN, an online game where players take their Gunpla into a virtual world to take on all kinds of missions. As Divers, they meet Sarah, an enigmatic girl with an unusual feel for Gunpla, and start playing with her. GBN is full of well-known Divers, among them Kyoya Kujo, the reigning champion Riku looks up to, and players can band together into teams called forces. Meanwhile, Mass-Divers using unofficial break decals are disrupting the game. The yearly Gunpla Force Battle Tournament is a major GBN event, and this Action and Sci-Fi mecha series is packed with custom mobile suit battles.
