This is Bandai handing the fans the controller and filming what happens. One episode, no arc, no stakes beyond bragging rights: the Divers who played hardest all season get dropped into the GBN anniversary Battle Royal piloting kits they did not choose, because the machines are assigned at random from whatever the Great Gunpla Ballot voted to the top. That single rule is the whole joke and the whole thrill. Nobody is fighting in their signature build, so skill has to carry a suit the pilot has never touched, and the final round stacks the block winners against each other with zero warm-up. It is pure Gunpla Battle as spectacle, tone light as air, ending on a dream matchup the plastic was never supposed to allow. Watch it the way you'd watch a shop tournament final: for the sheer joy of seeing somebody make an off-meta kit work.
The centerpiece of GBN's anniversary celebration is underway: a one-day Gunpla battle royale for the Divers who played with the most passion this season. Competitors don't bring their own machines to the arena. They are handed Gunpla at random, drawn mostly from the top-ranked designs in a grand ballot voted on by every Diver. Now the champions of each block face off in the final round, where an unpredictable, never-before-seen dream battle is about to start. A single-episode ONA of mecha action.
