Two kids riding a doomed transport through an active war zone have maybe ten minutes to live. A Zeta Gundam shows up piloted by a ghost from the One Year War, and suddenly the math changes. This is a self-contained piece of Gundam lore that doesn't need you to have watched anything else to feel the weight of it, just the willingness to sit still while two siblings learn what it costs when a war passes through your life.

Two siblings, Asagi and Takuya, are passengers on a civilian transport headed for Earth in the last days of the Gryps conflict from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. When a clash between the Titans and the AEUG engulfs their ship, they have to find some way to bring it safely through atmospheric entry. They are not left to face it alone: a Zeta Gundam in custom colors comes to their aid, flown by a pilot whose voice closely resembles that of the One Year War ace Amuro Ray. The film is a mecha adventure that was shown as a mix of animation and CG across three screens at once, in the manner of an IMAX or OmniMAX theater.
