In Universal Century 0079, the Principality of Zeon declares independence from the Earth Federation, and the two go to war. Zeon's new weapon, the mobile suit, gives it the early advantage, but it lacks the strength to conquer all of Earth, and the fighting settles into a stalemate. Eleven months in, Federation forces capture a base in Zeon-held Eastern Europe. Zeon sends a mixed battalion to win it back, and among its ranks are Sorari and her Red Wolf squadron, a mobile suit unit that has only just come down from space. The result is a six-episode mecha and science fiction war story set in the Gundam universe.
