A girl searching for her father finds herself defending men who are fighting a war they've already lost, caught between human loyalty and the supernatural threat that binds them all. Chizuru Yukimura came to Kyoto looking for her father and has worked alongside the Shinsengumi ever since they saved her from a monster that craves blood. In the first year of Keio, the group relocates to Nishi Honganji Temple and keeps patrolling the city, where bandits are reportedly using the Shinsengumi name. At the same time, they are ordered to guard Shogun Iemochi during his upcoming visit, so Hijikata and the others rush to settle the matter. Then several rasetsu escape from the Shinsengumi post, helped by someone who looks like Chizuru. Chizuru herself goes missing after she is caught up in trouble while in town with the treasurer, Sakai. Meanwhile, word of a Tosa ronin plot to kill the Shogun reaches the Satsuma domain, and Kazama heads for Kyoto. This supernatural action drama runs three OVA episodes.
