Anime Like Han ye Deng Zhu
SYNOPSIS
A derelict film studio buried under snow becomes the unlikely setting where past and future collide. Zha works alone as a janitor, sweeping through massive replicas of world landmarks now frozen and abandoned, accompanied only by a cat that once starred in productions long forgotten. When the studio owner offers him a VR headset instead of final wages, Zha discovers an escape: a virtual world where he meets a woman who awakens something in him, pulling him toward dreams of lunar travel and connection. But reality intrudes when a film crew arrives to shoot a science fiction blockbuster on the same decaying backlot. As the line between Zha's digital romance and the physical world blurs, he finds himself caught between two versions of existence. One promises intimacy and transcendence through technology. The other demands he confront the real loneliness that drove him to seek solace in illusion. The question becomes whether any connection, virtual or real, can save him from the isolation that the abandoned studio represents.
