A brick dreams itself out of a harbor wall and into motion. That's the entire premise, and it's enough because the show understands that wanderlust isn't a human problem, it's a force that moves through anything with enough longing inside it. You watch something small and stationary become unstoppable, and you recognize yourself in it.

Y is a harbor town brimming with a powerful flow of energy. One of its red bricks has caught a very human wish: to see things it has never seen before. The brick has long sat at the corner of a red brick building a few blocks from the harbor, and it still recalls a white sailboat coming into port back when the building was new. Dreaming of distant places, it suddenly starts to move one day. Yuuichi Itou tells the story as a short adventure film that blends stop motion with CG animation.
