A dinosaur named for the word "tasty" learns to love the thing he's biologically wired to eat. Heart doesn't ask you to suspend disbelief about nature, it asks you to watch a father and son tear each other apart anyway, then choose each other. The budget is rough and the plot frays at the edges, but the moment Umasou realizes what his father actually is, you stop caring about either of those things.
A young tyrannosaurus named Heart is raised by a Maiasaura mother alongside her own son, Light. As he grows, he finds he cannot live on the plants his family eats, and he leaves home once he learns he needs meat. Years later he comes across an egg, and when a baby ankylosaurus hatches, Heart says it looks tasty. The newborn takes him for its father and adopts the word 'Umasou,' meaning delicious-looking, as its name. Unable to eat a child who loves him, Heart reluctantly raises Umasou himself, just as his mother once raised him. As a family bond grows between them, Heart faces a harsh world and the gap between predator and prey in this dinosaur fantasy adventure.
