Eight hundred years ago, Xie Lian was the beloved Crown Prince of Xian Le and a revered martial god. Now he ascends to Heaven for the third time, a scrap-collecting deity with no worshippers who has become a joke across all three realms. Soon after arriving he accidentally wrecks the Gold Palace of the heavenly officials. With nobody worshipping him, he has to return to the human world and exorcise ghosts, work that may help him hold on to his divinity. On his first mission, a gentle man in red leads him through a moonlit forest and then vanishes into a cloud of silver butterflies. Xie Lian later learns that the stranger was Hua Cheng, a Ghost King feared by demons and gods alike. Before he can work out why Hua Cheng would help him, he meets San Lang, a young man who knows a great deal about both the Ghost King and the forgotten Crown Prince. San Lang chooses to travel with Xie Lian as he uncovers the mysteries of the past. The eleven-episode ONA blends adventure, drama, fantasy and romance.
