Four girls in a cramped apartment above a coffee shop, drawing and eating and talking about nothing that matters. The comedy lives in the space between words, in how Yuno's panic about deadlines becomes background noise to Miyako stealing everyone's snacks. You're not watching a story happen. You're sitting at their table, warm drink in hand, while they decide what to eat for dinner and it somehow takes twenty minutes and feels like the best twenty minutes of your day.
Yuno and her friends at the Hidamari Apartments are back for more easygoing comedy in these two specials, a follow-up to the Hidamari Sketch TV series. The four art students who live in the complex keep enjoying their days together. In the first episode the group heads off to the pool as a gang. In the second, Hiro finds a love letter left in her locker, and the mystery of who wrote it sets everyone wondering. Hyperactive Miyako, older-sister figures Hiro and Sae, and earnest Yuno bring the same warm, slice of life humor as before, with small everyday moments shared among friends.
