The opening episode drops you into an art class mid-conversation with no introduction, no setup, just five girls who already know each other, already have their rhythms. You either sync with their frequency immediately or you don't. When you do, you realize the comedy isn't about punchlines, it's about how these specific people see the world differently because they're trained to actually look at it. Every joke lands in the negative space between what gets said and what gets drawn on the page.

Ayanoi High School runs a specialized art design class, and five freshman girls who are close friends attend it with real enthusiasm. Noda Miki is an energetic prankster, Nozaki Namiko is level-headed and cynical, Oomichi Miyabi is smart, observant and kind, Tomokane is a lively, mischievous tomboy, and the bespectacled Yamaguchi Kisaragi is curious and innocent. As they learn a wide range of art techniques, each day brings something new, whether a tricky assignment or the ordinary oddities of school life. The result is a lighthearted slice-of-life comedy.
