SYNOPSIS
Kaoruko is a manga artist going nowhere fast. Her latest work bombs in the reader polls, and her editor delivers the tough love: she needs to level up, and quick. The solution: move into a dormitory for aspiring manga creators, where she'll live alongside three other talented but struggling artists, each chasing their own creative dreams. Sharing tight quarters with girls from completely different manga genres forces Kaoruko out of her comfort zone. One roommate writes shoujo romance. Another draws intense shounen action. A third crafts stories aimed at teenage readers. They're all competing in the same brutal industry, yet somehow they become each other's greatest support system. Late-night snack runs turn into creative brainstorming sessions. Bad reviews become fuel for improvement. Personal failures become opportunities to lift someone else up. What unfolds is less about dramatic breakthroughs and more about the small, messy, hilarious reality of chasing a creative career alongside people who actually get it. Kaoruko discovers that sometimes the best way forward isn't working alone in the dark, but surrounded by friends who understand exactly what you're fighting for.
