Vienna, 1907. Princess Flora, adored by the whole nation, marks her birthday with a whim: she hides her precious diamond ring inside a fish, tosses it away, and promises her hand in marriage, along with the throne, to whoever returns it. The first to reach the fish is a cat belonging to Honey, a poor young girl. Suddenly Honey is on the run from a crowd of eager suitors who want to slice open her pet to claim the ring.
