This isn't filler pretending to matter. These are the moments the first adaptation didn't have room for, the quiet conversations and small victories that make a relationship feel real instead of inevitable. The show knows the story is already over, graduation is coming, these characters are leaving, so it stops trying to build toward anything and just lets you live in the space between them. That's the whole point. High-quality animation on nothing but genuine affection spent on people you already care about costs something to sit with, but the show refuses to rush you through it.

As the graduation ceremony at Katagiri High School wraps up, Kyouko Hori, her boyfriend Izumi Miyamura, and their friends start looking back on their years as students. The memories they made together may be brief, but each one is a vivid fragment of their time at school.
