Shun made a name for himself as a soccer player in middle school, but an injury ended his playing days and rules out any physical activity at all. Now a high school freshman with no clear direction, he grows tired of saying no to every club that tries to recruit him, and one day he lets slip that he would rather just head home. A girl named Naoki Satou, nicknamed Chokki-chan, hears him and invites him into her Hyper Go-Home Club, an unofficial group run by her eccentric enthusiasm and fondness for detours. Shun turns her down, yet he ends up swept into the club's odd activities regardless, and the two gradually begin walking home together. As he spends more time with her, his dull days slowly start to brighten. The result is a light after-school romantic comedy about a boy who has lost his dream learning to move forward again.
