The 3D is so aggressively gorgeous it becomes its own statement about what animation can do. It also obscures what this story is actually about, the novel's psychological decay becomes visual noise in all that technical ambition. Watch it for what it looks like, not what it means.

Tokyo 2036. Death is solved, but only for those with money. Nanomachines and the Shell System have made a disease-free life possible, yet only the richest can afford it. Yozo Oba, who is not among them, is troubled by strange dreams. When his friend's biker gang heads into "The Inside," the area where society's elite lives, he casually tags along.
